Rivendale is a non-communal organization, and believes in friendship and harmony between races. We accept residents from all faiths and communities, and religious observances are encouraged and respected. We also expect our residents to respect other religions and extremism and communalism will not be tolerated.

For religious observances there are two Buddhist temples within one km distance from the Resort, a Catholic Church 1.5 km away and an Anglican Church is 3 km away in Piliyandala. For the Muslims, we could hear the prayers of the mosque across the lake. The most convenient Hindu Kovil is at Anderson Road, Kohuwala.
