Introduction
Rivendale Resort is a purpose-built retirement home in Sri Lanka, that offers the best of care. With its specially trained staff, Rivendale offers more living and recreation facilities and better care.
Rivendale is not just another average elders home but a facility that provides a life style for the discerning. The Retirement Home has only twelve rooms and as the residents would be long term, accommodation is limited for a selected community of people - the criteria being, those who would benefit from the facilities offered and who appreciate the natural environment.
Accommodation
The Resort is located on a three-acre property bordering the Bolgoda Lake, in tranquil and calm surroundings. Accommodation is offered in spacious hotel-like rooms that can be occupied by a single person or a couple or even be shared by two persons. All rooms are accessible by wheelchair.
Care
The Resort offers numerous recreational opportunities. Extensive gardens allow plenty of room for walks, or as a wide variety of bird species visit the gardens, guests can engage in birdwatching. Guests can also engage in boating or fishing or just relax by the lakeside.
Location
Facilities at Rivendale incorporates the families of residents as well; large gardens, the lake, and fun activities like boating and fishing can attract children and grandchildren whose regular visits would inevitably be appreciated by the elders. With prior notice visitors too can join their loved ones at meals for a nominal fee.
