With a fully qualified Nursing Sister and a Nurse amongst the resident staff, nursing care is available to the residents around the clock. Rivendale staff keep track of the intake of medication, to ensure proper intake.

A Doctor visits Rivendale regularly and checks every resident and health condition is systematically monitored and records are kept. We have noted most of our resident’s medicine intake has been reduced to almost to half, possibly due to regular meal times and serene atmosphere.

When a resident become feeble, Rivendale provides night or full time care as required. On policy Rivendale will not turn away a resident due to deterioration of physical abilities.

In emergencies we have arranged with ambulance services and they call over with necessary staff and equipment ready to handle any situation. When necessary the resident is admitted to a private hospital and taken care of, while guardians are informed.

It is expected that the guardians will take over the responsibility of the resident's hospital care within a reasonable time. In case of relatives living abroad, arrangements need to be made in case of emergencies.
