We believe that parents are happier when looked after by their children in their own homes, but we understand the practical limitations of such an attempt. Even in their own homes lack of exercise and loneliness can be the worst enemies to an elder.
At Rivendale basic nursing care for residents are provided around the clock. Amongst our resident staff are fully qualified nursing sister and a nurse. Our staff are ever mindful of residents' general health and food intake. They also keep track of the intake of medication, to ensure that they are taken properly at the correct time.

The Resort offers numerous recreational opportunities to keep fit as well as to relax and relieve loneliness. Three acres of gardens offer plenty of room for walks. Rooms comparable to a hotel offer privacy to the residents, while the company of others would offer solace and companionship.
Bedrooms face a wide verandah that allows the passage of wheel chairs without hindering the seated residents. The landscaped gardens, waterfalls, flowing waters and ponds filled with fish in front of the verandah are designed to bring pleasure even to the less mobile residents.
All meals from bed-tea to dinner are provided, and the main meals are partaken in the restaurant, making meal times a social function. No additional food is expected other than meal supplements due to medical reasons. Rivendale provides tasty and wholesome meals with frequent changes in the menu, while also accommodating individual dietary requirements.
